What is the maximum weight the rack can hold?

The rack can safely hold up to 50 lbs.


My bike has an untraditional frame (i.e .full suspension mountain bike, beach cruiser, or women’s bike), how can I mount my bike to the rack?

Our versatile rack can accommodate bikes of all different shapes and sizes. Our tube-frame has 12 hook entry points on each side that you can lower or raise at will to securely fit your bike.

Are there any handlebar width restrictions?

The bike rack will accomodate all handlebars up to 24” wide.

What do I do if my walls do not have the standard wall studs 16” apart?

We recommend purchasing “unistrut” mounting hardware at a local hardware store for a strong hold. Follow these links for hardware you will need:

How much wall space do I need in order to mount the rack?

The dimensions of the rack itself are as follows:

How close to the ceiling can I mount the rack?

The top of the rack should rest at least 16” below the ceiling. This will allow just enough space to lift the bike up parallel to the ceiling.

Will the kayak rack store my canoe?

Yes, as long as the canoe weighs less than 50 lbs and measures thinner than 16 ¾” at the thickest part.

I just opened the box and tried to compress the gas strut. Why won’t it budge?

Unless you are a strongman competitor, chances are you won’t be able to compress the strut at all when the rack is not mounted. Make sure to get the rack mounted with your equipment. The strut should function as advertised when the rack is properly mounted on the wall.

How does the rack stabilize the front wheel/handlebars on my bike when in the “up” position?

A stabilizing strap is included that will keep your front wheel and handlebars stabilized.

10) What is your return policy?

We want you to be completely happy with your order. If for any reason you are not satisfied, we will gladly accept your return of damaged or defective merchandise within 30 days of purchase.

To help us process your return as quickly as possible, please enclose the original packing slip with your item(s) and or a note with the reason for your return. Once we receive the return item we will assess your claim and if valid refund your credit card. It will take your bank 5 to 7 business days to process your refund after we have processed your return.

2) What is the company’s product warranty policy?

All Zero gravity Racks versions manufactured and sold by Zero Gravity Racks, Inc, are guaranteed in regards to materials and performance for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. During this period, Zero Gravity Racks will replace or substitute required new replacement parts in a timely manner and at no charge to the buyer of record. All original components are covered by this warranty excepting the cushion foam piece, which is a normally wearing material.

It is the purchaser’s responsibility to submit a claim to Zero Gravity Racks during this one year period. Original invoice information with purchase date will be required. Failure to observe these requirements will invalidate the warranty.
